District heating business
Loiste Lämpö Oy, part of the Loiste companies, is responsible for the heating business. Our district heating business also includes Otanmäen Lämpö Oy, which operates as a producer and distributor of district heating in the centres of Otanmäki and Vuolijoki.
Our company produces district heat in the Kajaani city area. Most of the district heat is produced in the Kainuun Voima (KAVO) cogeneration plant, which uses domestic fuel.
District heating is the most common and popular form of heating in our region. We enable access to carbon-neutral district heating and continuously invest in renewable energy sources.
