Has a tree fallen on a power line?
Always remember that if a tree has fallen on a power line, you must not attempt to remove it yourself because of the risk to life.
Clearing trees from power lines should always be done by professionals, as the work is demanding and dangerous for both the operator and the power grid.
In case of damage, call our fault reporting number immediately. Wait for your call to be answered or to be connected to a recorded incident information line, where you can leave a message about the location of a fallen tree, for example.
Remember to stay as far away from the damaged line as possible, and do not touch any wires that have fallen to the ground. Also make sure that no one else can reach the lines until help arrives.
No electricity?
- First, check the fuses and electrical equipment
- See the blackout map for your area
- Call the helpdesk if the previous ones are OK
You should also call the emergency services if a tree has fallen on power lines or you notice another structural fault in the electricity network.
